Vianney BASSE has been conducting recruitment and assessment projects for top management positions with a focus on Finance and Industry. Although his geographical scope spans over the whole world, since late 2018 he has been specifically working on numerous Asia-Europe projects, led out of the Firm’s Shanghai and Paris offices.
Prior to joining Eric Salmon & Partners, he worked for five years (2010 – 2015) as an investment banker for BNP Paribas. His last position was Director Corporate Finance (M&A) with responsibility over a team in charge of diversified and international industrial groups.
From 2003 to 2010, Vianney BASSE worked for the Government: for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as Political and Economic Advisor with a focus on countries in crisis and in conflict; for the office of the Prime Minister as coordinator for the government’s action in terms of reconstructing countries in conflict; for the Ministry of Defense as Adviser to the Minister in charge of international industrial affairs and think tanks.
Vianney BASSE started his career in 1996 as a Corporate Banker for Société Générale: he spent two years in Paris then three years in London for that company. His job was to analyze the credit and financial risks of industrial companies and provide them with banking solutions and services.
Vianney is a graduate from Harvard University (Kennedy School of Government), ESSEC Business School, and Sciences Po (Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris). He was selected to attend the 69th Session Nationale of IHEDN, the Institute placed under the authority of the French Prime Minister.
He is a Board member of ACTED, one of Europe’s largest humanitarian NGO, and an active member of the Harvard French Scholarship Fund.
