Strengthening CHRO Impact in the Boardroom
Following a recent client discussion hosted by Simone Maggioni and Charlotte de Beauffort, we are pleased to share a new perspective on the evolving role of CHROs at board level.
Drawing on the experience of Chris Harrison- an accomplished C-suite executive, board director and advisor, and senior HR leaders from large international organisations, the discussion explored how CHROs can strengthen their influence in the boardroom, particularly in areas such as succession, strategy, and organisational performance.
A few themes stood out:
-
The growing expectation for CHROs to operate as enterprise leaders, not functional specialists.
-
The importance of business credibility and data-driven insight in board discussions.
-
The central role of CHROs in succession planning and leadership risk.
-
The need to adapt to different governance models and board dynamics.
Many thanks to our guest speaker, Chris Harrison, for sharing his experience and perspectives, as well as Simone Maggioni and Charlotte de Beaufort for hosting and facilitating the discussion. Our gratitude also to the participating HR leaders for enriching the exchange with their valuable contributions.
